so i just entered a competition over on the lovely Vogesparis site to win some stunning concrete effect wall paper from the Piet Boon collection… One of my long term interior dreams is to own a real concrete wall within my home. I have friends who are lucky enough to have them in their rented apartments but for me it is a difficult reality to achieve as my own home is currently a church hall in the process of renovation so whilst we have red brick walls in abundance (my other LOVE), a wall of concrete is maybe a dream for a future project!
Hence my excitement (and sharp in take of breath) when i saw this wallpaper for the first time… it is simply stunning and would brighten my day so fingers and toes crossed../
so i have been a little quiet over the past couple of months… i have been needing to get my inspiration back and it did over the weekend when i happened upon the work of Canadian based Ariele Alasko… Ariele’s amazing carpentry skills literally blew me away and awakened my creative drive. i simply had to post about her and share her stunning work. All pieces are fashioned from reclaimed wood that Ariele gathers, each have their own voice, their own personality and their own very natural beauty…. check out Ariele’s initial sketches too, their simplicity is beautiful. love./
