questioning consumerism…
i came across the work of Steve Lambert today whilst browsing Ali Wither’s site. the pieces below are taken from Steve’s exhibition EVERYTHING YOU WANT, RIGHT NOW! the art playfully exposes the consumers relationship with advertising. although this exhibition took place back in 2009 with the current chaotic situation that the uk is facing these images really spoke out to me and made me begin to question the type of society we are breeding and what part consumerism plays in this?…/

i happened upon Free Time Industries today… they describe themselves as a ‘multidisciplinary design studio’… existing ‘to create intimate innovations in our free time.’ i like them! Their products seem to tell their own narratives and are stunningly evocative…check out their beauteous photos too! ../
